Caring for Twins

To care for twins, contrary to popular belief, is not double the work as it may seem. In fact, caring for twins is just some more work compared to caring for one baby. Walking the baby
Later preparing food for the baby
The work load is the same, whether you care for twins or for one baby.
Where the stress of caring for twins comes in is at feeding time, when one baby starts to cry and the other pitches in. If you are attentive to your baby's needs, you will recognize when baby Number One stirs and wants to start eating. Giving your twins equal amounts of attention will be a balancing act. There is an amazing phenomenon a mother will soon start to recognize when caring for twins (or for more than one kid). One thing you need to know about twins. If you've gotten boy-and-girl twins, one of the twins may not be able to procreate. The same seems to apply to humans (boy-and-girl twins).
To care for twins is a richly rewarding and fulfilling experience.
This potential shortcoming haunts all parents - but for full-time mothers of twins, the guilt can be paralyzing.
It is not uncommon that mothers of twins find themselves homebound after enjoying the comparative freedom of being a working wife. Then there's the issue of "quality time" - if she's home alone with the twins, the mother is just too busy looking after them to initiate any significant interaction. Be prepared.
If you find you're expecting twins, start building a support network right away. Find out which of your family, friends, and neighbors can help with laundry, errands, emergency babysitting, late-night feedings, or just playing with your twins while you take a nap.
Consult local social agencies, and the Internet provides a galaxy of resources for parents of twins (including ways to save money).
You're quite human, and caring for twins should be considered quite a superhuman task.
